Diana is a wildlife biologist, environmental educator, and photographer using her camera as a tool to share nature's stories from sky high mountain tops to the bottom of the ocean and everything in between. Her passion to nurture, appreciate, and protect all things wild drives the focus of her photography and to initiate the conversation about our environment and our impact on it.
Growing up in California, Diana explored the mountains and beaches, often taking photos along the way. After college, she began traveling and focused more on photographing new places and experiences to share with family and friends. Life took her to the colorful landscapes of New Mexico where she honed her skills while raising her 2 kids. Another life change brought her family to the confluence of the Columbia, Yakima, and Snake Rivers in the Pacific Northwest, providing a wide variety of flora and fauna to photograph throughout the year. |
Diana’s work has been published in several magazines, books, and calendars, and sold at art shows and galleries. She leads tours and workshops to assist others with their photography skills, encourage involvement in participatory science, and develop a love and respect wildlife and their wild places.
Diana volunteers with a marine mammal organization in Washington and a wild horse alliance in Utah, contributing ID images, aiding in each organization's continuing research. She also serves on NANPA’s Ethics Committee and on the board of her local artist organization. When not photographing, she spend time with her family, jamming on her drum set, watching movies, and reading suspense novels. |
